How long does it take to grow?
Hydroseed typically begins to germinate within 7 to 10 days under ideal conditions. You can expect to see significant growth and a lush green lawn within 4 to 6 weeks.
Will the rain wash it away?
Light rain can be beneficial for hydroseed as it provides necessary moisture. However, heavy rain immediately after application can potentially wash away the slurry. It’s best to schedule hydroseeding when heavy rain is not expected for at least 24 to 48 hours.
Can I walk on it?
It’s best to avoid walking on hydroseeded areas until the grass is well-established, usually around 4 to 6 weeks. Foot traffic can disrupt the seed and impede growth.
What do I do with my animals?
Keep pets and other animals off the hydroseeded area until the grass is established, usually around 4 to 6 weeks. Animals can disturb the seeds and soil, hindering growth.
Do I have to water it?
Yes, regular watering is crucial for hydroseeding success. We recommend watering 2 to 3 times a day for the first 30 days, allowing the areas to thoroughly dry before watering again. In extremely high temperatures, increase to 3 to 4 times a day to combat evaporation.
